Child pushed from third floor of Mall of America, suspect in custody

The family is now with the child, police said.

"At this point we believe this is an isolated incident", Potts said.

The suspect, a 24-year-old man, was arrested on charges of attempted homicide at the mall's transit station and is now in police custody, according to the Bloomington Police Department. He was being treated at a hospital, but no details on his condition were immediately available.

Police responded to the southeast court at the mall around 10:17 a.m.
