Apple unveils "Apple News+" and magazine subscription service

Apple unveiled its new video streaming and news subscription offerings on Monday as it looks to boost revenue from its services segment and usher in a new era for the tech titan.

There where a lot of big names on podium, Steven Spielberg, actors Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell ( The Office ) and Oprah Winfrey entered the stage to officially announce their collaboration with Apple. The app will offer suggestions for shows and movies from over 150 streaming apps, including Amazon Prime and Hulu, as well as pay-TV services such as Canal+, Charter Spectrum, DIRECTV NOW and PlayStation Vue.

Available in the new Apple TV app for Apple TV Channels are brands like epix, STARZ, HBO, Showtime, MTV Hits, History Channel Vault, Brit Box, Nick Hits, Pandora, Mubi, and Comedy Central NOW. Once subscribed, users can watch episodes directly within the TV app, taking away the need to switch between different apps.

It will be available through the Apple TV app, which will be available on Roku, Fire TV, and various smart TVs.

Hundreds of TV shows are available through dozens of streaming services, and Apple has just added itself to the mix with a stable of original programs.

Apple is launching a new service called Apple TV+ with a focus on high-quality original shows. You can pick up where you left off in a game, even if you switch between your iPhone and iPad, your Mac or your Apple TV.


There have been rumors that the new service will be free for people who own Apple devices.

Subscribers of Apple Arcade will get access to all the games in the bundle rather than having to purchase each individual game.

Apple has lifted the curtain on a television and movie streaming service that will allow users of its 1.4 billion gadgets to stream television shows and movies. Additionally, you can buy or rent movies and shows from iTunes.

In this latest episode, we talk about Dragon Ball Super maybe returning, we're breaking down Kofi's trip to the set of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and more! The company will surely reveal that closer to the actual launch of the service. Now Apple is getting in the subscription game, with Apple News+.

According to Meltwater, Apple TV+ had the largest share of voice online over the past few days (40.77%), followed by Apple Card (30.3%), Apple Arcade (18.91%), and Apple News+ (10.02%) in descending order.

Apple also introduced a titanium, laser-etched Apple Card backed by Goldman Sachs Group and Mastercard that can track spending across devices and pay daily cash back on purchases.
