Robert Mueller has turned in his Russian Federation report. What happens now?

Special counsel Robert Mueller was appointed in May 2017 to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election and allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign in such interference, as well as any matters that arose from the probe.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday on the White House's South Lawn, Trump said, "Let it come out".

And sweeping claims of executive privilege could trigger an intricate legal battle that could go all the way up to the Supreme Court, and put off any day of reckoning for Trump in Congress for months, even if the report brings bad news.

One former Obama-era U.S. Attorney, Preet Bharara, who was sacked two months into Trump's term after refusing to resign his post, also remained skeptical about the investigation nearing its end, reported the Examiner.

Since his removal from the FBI, Comey has been an outspoken critic of Trump's attacks against the Mueller probe, the Justice Department and Comey himself.

"I just won an election with 63 million votes or so, 63 million, and I'm saying to myself, wait a minute, I just won one of the greatest elections of all time in the history of this country, and now I have someone writing a report that never got a vote?" he said.

TRUMP: "I got 306 electoral votes against 223".

Attorney General nominee William Barr testifies on the first day of his confirmation hearing in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee at the Capitol in Washington

Though Mueller's office has said nothing publicly about the timing of a report, several prosecutors detailed to Mueller's team have left in recent months, suggesting the investigation is winding down.

The top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, Georgia Rep. Doug Collins, said on the House floor last week that he had a "news flash" for Democrats who had high hopes that the report would be damaging to Trump. "I had a nasty business transaction with him and other things", the commander in chief said, without elaborating.

Trump says: "I think it's ridiculous, but I want to see the report".

But Barr is also compelled to submit to Congress his own summary of the investigation, a report which could be made public.

Given the partisan divide in Congress, it's rare that any measure or resolution garners a unanimous vote. Mark Meadows, R-NC, in penning a March 1 letter to Attorney General William Barr, voicing concerns over Mueller staffers Andrew Weissmann and Zainab Ahmad. Trump asked. "It's called the Mueller report".

But what the report looks like isn't clear. And Trump and his advisers are considering how to weaponize those possible findings for the 2020 race, according to current and former White House officials and presidential confidants who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations. It contains the findings of Robert Mueller and his team who probed the case for nearly two years. I don't-I don't think people get it.
