India denies reports of its submarine near Pakistani waters as "misinformation"

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan today said no terror group would be allowed to operate on Pakistani soil and carry out attacks overseas, days after his government began a crackdown against terror organisations.

Proving himself to be a statesman, prime minister Imran Khan announced the release of the Indian pilot that Pakistan had captured after his plane was brought down and, in my view, facilitated the de-escalation that sane people on both sides desire and that had been the consistent endeavour of the major players of the global community.

The continuous ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops came amid prevailing tensions between India and Pakistan which escalated after Indian fighters bombed terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad's biggest training camp near Balakot deep inside Pakistan.

"This de-escalated a unsafe situation but more has to be done".

India says JuD is a front for the militant Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) group, which it accuses of carrying out the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks which killed more than 160 people. "The resolutions that were passed with reference to Indian terrorism in Kashmir were sponsored by Pakistan". The minister said consequent to the government's efforts and effective diplomacy, the perception about Pakistan had changed in the US.

The threat of a nuclear war between Pakistan and India is not yet over and will continue to loom unless both countries address the core issue of their conflict - Kashmir, cautioned an editorial in The New York Times. After an emergency meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan "reserves the right to retaliate at a time and manner of its choosing".

The Pakistan government earlier arrested the brother and son of JeM chief Masood Azhar along with 42 others affiliated with the banned terror outfits.

"This government will not allow Pakistan's land to be used for any kind of outside terrorism", Imran Khan said while addressing a public rally in southern Pakistan.

Pakistan said on Tuesday that it stopped an Indian submarine from entering its waters.

Responding to questions during his weekly media briefing, Faisal claimed Pakistan "defeated India militarily, diplomatically and politically in the ongoing border row, which has de-escalated over the past few days".

"Law enforcement agencies have taken 121 people under preventive detention as of today", the interior ministry said in a statement.
