NBA LeBron James Cleared to Return to Practice 10 hours ago 1729

Lonzo Ball made a bad decision late in Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Los Angeles Lakers were in desperate need of a big win and they got that done tonight.

The foul call drew the attention of Lakers superstar LeBron James, who's now out of action with a groin strain.

The Lakers are set to visit the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets this weekend.

After beating the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to build on that with a huge win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road.

James was said to be fond of the team's young core, yet trade speculation involving Kawhi Leonard persisted.

The coach's latest update will be music to the ears of everyone connected to the Lakers, especially after ESPN's Brian Windhorst indicated that the injury was not getting better and that the forward faced another couple of weeks on the sidelines. Westbrook finished with 26 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds and Steven Adams notched a 17-point, 15-rebound double-double. The Lakers have slumped in his absence, going 4-7. Ferguson shot 5 of 6 on 3-pointers in the first half. OKC is 26-18 and has lost five of its last six.

Day matchup against the Golden State Warriors.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been looking to make a trade before the February 7 deadline and have been linked with numerous players since the season began in October.

James' return would put more pressure on Walton to turn things around, but that pressure is nothing compared to what Walton and the Lakers have gone through over the past 10 games.

Paul George top scored for the Thunder with 27 points, while Terrance Ferguson added 20 in the losing effort.

It's unclear when the Lakers will get James back. They were keen to strengthen further and were linked with a trade for Kawhi Leonard, but opted not to make a move in the hope of landing him as a free agent in 2019. Kuzma missed a 3 at the buzzer, and the game went to overtime.
