Bayern 'absolutely want to sign' Chelsea's Hudson-Odoi - chief

According to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich have finally agreed to come to terms with Chelsea's price tag by launching an improved bid of £35 million for the services of Callum Hudson-Odoi. And Hudson-Odoi, it seems, could become the next young English sensation to join the prestigious league that has emerged as the breeding ground for several young and talented footballers over the past decade or so.

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic says Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is a player they "absolutely want to sign".

"If I was his agent, I'd be sitting down with him and saying be patient, stay at Chelsea".

Chelsea are prepared to consent to a basic agreement, but only if Hudson-Odoi goes in the summer. A very good match with application, very good in the defensive phase, but he has been completely normal.

In his most recent outing, the highly rated youngster assisted both of Chelsea's goals in the 2-0 FA Cup third round win over Nottingham Forest. "Secondly, because I do not want players on the pitch who are at risk of substitution like Willian, Pedro or Olivier Giroud so I prefer to play with young players".

Sarri said the Spaniard, whose Chelsea deal expires at the end of this season, has received a two-year contract offer.

Speaking after Tuesday's first-leg defeat to Tottenham in the EFL Cup semi-finals, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri insisted Hudson-Odoi had not been distracted by the speculation.

He added that Chelsea will need to sign a replacement if former Spain midfielder Fabregas leaves in the January transfer window.

Still, only time will tell if he decides to wait it out at Stamford Bridge, or jump ship to another European Giant, to play his football outside the Premier League.

"With the midfielders we are in trouble as, without Cesc, we only have five", he said.
