EPL: Sarri confirms two Chelsea players who will miss Crystal Palace clash

Eden Hazard is torn between what his heart wants and the respect he has for a club that took a chance on him as a youngster and offered him the opportunity to become one of the best in the world.

The Blues had dropped below Arsenal heading into their game with Watford on Boxing Day, but two goals from Eden Hazard earned the West Londoners a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road.

Madrid are long-time admirers of Hazard, and speculation linking the Belgian with a move to the Spanish capital has only intensified as his contract ticks down.

Chelsea are yet to enter into negotiations with Hazard's camp regarding a new deal and Sarri says the time has come for the club to be decisive.

Hazard is the 10th Chelsea player to register 100 goals and joins Blues legends Roy Bentley, Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Tambling, Peter Osgood, Kerry Dixon, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard in the elite class.

Maurizio Sarri has insisted that he wants Cesc Fabregas to stay at Chelsea, amid reports that the Spaniard could be set to call time on his career at Stamford Bridge.

We'd be better of sticking with Fabregas, and Sarri appears to agree. I want to speak to him only about his position on the pitch.

"I think we have to solve the problem".

"I don't know the final decision of Cesc and the club".

"In this position we have only two players, Jorginho and Fabregas, so for me it would be really a problem without Cesc", said Sarri.

"As you know very well the big problem is the duration of the new contracts. It's not serious but I don't think he'll be able to play in the next match", Sarri told reporters on Friday. "The policy of the club is only to renew for one year for players over 30 years old".
