Here's What People Can Expect From Super Smash Bros Ultimate Multiplayer

During today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which features Kirby as the long hero (and true savior, mind you) standing tall after an attack pretty much wipes out all the characters from the game, turning them into Spirits.

With that being said, there are still plenty of characters to choose from in the upcoming Nintendo Switch game, spanning Nintendo's vast library of games and various third-party developers, too. Significantly, it also outlined the last remaining mode: Spirits. Ultimate, the company announced that both Ken from Street Fighter and Incineroar from Pokemon will be joining the roster.

Before unlocking any characters in the game, players will start with seven to choose from, and will end up with 74 once they're finished recruiting every addition.

People who play with others can go online easily or press ZR to bring up the dashboard and enter local wireless. In fact, there are 59 assist trophies that can be used within the game!

Players can also buy a $24.99 (about £20 / AU$35) Fighters Pass to get access to all five as they release, rather than paying $5.99 per DLC, and will also get an exclusive Mii Fighter outfit based on Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The Nintendo Online phone app will allow for voice chat, and a new app called Smash World will launch sometime after the game, which will focus on players sharing fun gameplay moments. We also know that each new fighter will be a fleshed-out character in their own right, rather than just Echo versions of those already on the roster.

Nintendo is targeting a February 2019 release for the Piranha Plant, which will come with an extra stage and music tracks.
