Mega Millions Ticket Sold In San Francisco Matches 5 Of 6 Numbers

No winning lottery tickets were sold for Tuesday's draw, Mega Millions officials said.

The drawing for $667-million was the fourth largest in USA history.

The numbers were 3, 45, 49, 61 and 69 with the Mega Ball of 9. The chance of matching all six numbers and taking home the grand prize is one in 302.5 million, while the odds of winning any Mega Millions prize are one in 24, Reuters reported.

The jackpot has been growing since it was last won on July 24.

Roland Reyes claimed the prize on behalf of his group, saying they chose to play on a whim when they saw how large the jackpot had become.

The $667 million is up for grabs in Tuesday's drawing.

You can play Mega Millions in 46 localities: 44 states plus the Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The prize pool could rise even more next drawing on Friday.

The jackpot may be claimed as $667 million before federal taxes as an annuity paid out over 29 years, or as a cash option of $380 million, according to the Associated Press.

Wednesday, the winning numbers for the $345-million Powerball jackpot prize will be drawn.

An anonymous Mega Millions player who bought a ticket in La Plata, Maryland, in 2014, won a $207 million jackpot. The store received $1 million from Mega Millions for making the sale.
