Tom Arnold claims Apprentice producer 'choked' him at Emmys party

"The Apprentice" producer Mark Burnett and actor Tom Arnold are accusing each other of physical attacks following an apparent scuffle at the Evening Before the Emmys party Sunday night. A spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed to ET on Monday that a report for battery was made by Arnold against Burnett.

Last night, tensions between the two men seemed to boil over, as they both converged on a pre-Emmy fundraiser for the Motion Picture Television Fund in Century Park.

Arnold has an upcoming show for Vice called The Hunt for the Trump Tapes.

Last month, Trump said that Burnett told him there were no such tapes. Arnold claims that the bruise was already on her hand and that he didn't even see Downey until after the incident began.

Burnett's wife, actress Roma Downey, tweeted that Arnold "tried to ambush" the couple, and she posted what she says is a photo of her bruised hand.

What beef does Burnett have with Arnold? Things have been tense between Arnold and Burnett ever since Arnold's allegation that there are tapes from Donald Trump's show The Apprentice, of which Burnett was an executive producer, that prove Trump is a bigot. Time will tell whether Arnold found anything substantive on any tapes, and furthermore, whether said tapes will make a difference on anyone's opinion of Trump.

"Is your TV show worth it Tom?" she asked.

Arnold wasn't tagged in the tweet, but he fired back nearly immediately. "I'm filing police report & suing you for defamation", he wrote.

Soon after, Arnold's pal Patton Oswalt tweeted a photo of them together along with this caption: "I'm with @TomArnold, everyone".

Arnold is also heard asking Burnett if he could use that phone conversation in the show.

Arnold later tweeted that documentary filmmaker Bryan Fogel witnessed the attack and "has tape".

Arnold said he contacted the Los Angeles Police Department about the incident. He won the Oscar this year for his awesome documentary Icarus. "We gotta protect this brutal angel".
