Miami man with no arms charged with stabbing Chicago tourist

But on Tuesday, he was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, said Miami-Dade Corrections.

Jonathan Crenshaw, 46, is accused of holding a pair of scissors with his feet and stabbing 22-year-old Cesar Coronado just after midnight on Tuesday morning, according to Miami Beach police.

A homeless artist who does not have arms stabbed a tourist by grabbing a pair of scissors with his feet, police say.

The Miami Herald reports that Crenshaw is a popular fixture in the area, known for painting on canvases along a trendy spot in South Beach. Coronado and a friend denied Coronado hit Crenshaw and told officers they were only asking for directions when the homeless man jumped up and stabbed Coronado.

Crenshaw was found later in the day in the 200 block of Lincoln Road, authorities said.

On Monday night, his usual hangout turned violent.

Crenshaw claimed he acted in self-defense after Coronado punched him in the head, the Herald reports.

Florida native Jonathan Crenshaw stabbed a 22-year-old Chicago man twice with the scissors before running away.

Police said there were no indications that Crenshaw was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Crenshaw's arrest record dates to 2008 and lists arrests for disorderly intoxication, vandalism, and battery on police officers, firefighters and city code inspectors.
