Liverpool are prepared to fork out 180 million euros for Asensio

Despite limited appearances for Real Madrid, the 22-year-old has always managed to make a mark and an impression on the game scoring 11 goals and notching up six assists as well this season.

Marco Asensio has shown that he possesses the talent to be one of the next great stars of world football and Liverpool are so enthralled by him that they are preparing a bid of 180 million euros.

Los Blancos are eyeing a possible summer deal for Neymar, with Florentino Perez desperate to bring him to the Bernabeu.

But the Spain global will not discuss the possibility until after the World Cup.

"It is something which has come out", Asensio replied.

The theme of focus was reiterated by Sergio Ramos as Spain scraped themselves through to the round of 16 with a 2-2 draw vs. Morocco that saw them top Group B, setting up a game against World Cup hosts Russian Federation in Moscow on July 1.

Lyon broke off talks with Liverpool earlier this month as Fekir, whose contract with the seven-time French champions runs to 2020, prepared to head to Russian Federation as part of France's World Cup squad.

"I'm glad Julen has signed up for Real Madrid, after the World Cup we'll talk things over with him". I had said before that we did not need to sell.

However, one stumbling block in this deal is that Asensio signed a contract extension with Madrid until 2023 with a release clause of a mammoth £613 million.

"Madrid have received two offers for Marco Asensio, up to €150m (£131m), but the club rejected them", he told Cadena SER.

Now, Real Madrid mouthpiece Marca is reporting that Klopp is preparing to swoop in for one fo their top stars, who is currently in Russian Federation with the national team.
