Fortnite Meteor Event Explained: When Will Tilted Towers Get Destroyed

They're a fantastic way to assess your experience and dexterity at the game while pushing you to challenge yourself more as your progress. As for D5, those are the map coordinates for Tilted Towers.

Epic Games hasn't confirmed that a meteor will be hitting the map, but there are plenty of hints within the game that suggest that something will be happening very soon.

As Sensor's chart points out, iPhone consumers in the USA have spent almost $1 million more in Fortnite than Tinder in the first two weeks of April, and about 75 percent as much as they've spent in Netflix. It only made sense that an item like that would be found under Tilted Towers if Epic Games truly had something planned.

Having finely elucidated the necessary, for those of the uninitiated amongst us, "Fortnite" is an online co-op game that has its platform set on parallel planet earth that has been thoroughly ravaged by a storm, leaving behind plagued lands and infected zombie-like creatures.

Fortnite is being updated tomorrow at around 9am in the morning, so there's the chance that something could happen then.

Speculation about the comet began in late March, when data miners uncovered files related to the suspicious object.

The celestial phenomenon has caused players to speculate what the meteors could mean for the future of "Fortnite" and the game map.

Many people have claimed that the meteor has gradually got bigger and after looking at it from various angles, it seems to be heading straight towards the controversial Tilted Towers location.

As speculation swirls about the approaching meteor, more rumors have emerged regarding the seemingly random controller vibrations that have perplexed players recently.

According to those tracking them, it's believed to be an Easter egg message in Morse Code.

Fans have also found evidence for a crater site under the map where the Tilted Towers now stand, and a new LTM mode has also been datamined. Epic Games has consistently been changing and adding to the map, so using a meteor to wipe out a section (RIP Tilted Towers) would be pretty awesome.
