Man abducted by Lashkar-e-Taiba militants found beheaded in Kashmir

He was also responsible for launching terrorists from Bandipora area of North Kashmir to South Kashmir including Fidayeen, who attacked EDI in Pampore area of Pulwama twice last year, CRPF convoy in Pampore and Fidayeen in Nowhatta last year.

"The dead body of Manzoor Ahmed Bhat who was abducted by the terrorists of outlawed LeT in the intervening night of 4/5 April was found on the outskirts of Hajin today morning", a police spokesperson said.

Manzoor and his father Abdul Gaffar Bhat were kidnapped by militants from their Bonkhan Mohalla, Hajin area, late on Wednesday night. On April 2, another man was abducted by four terrorists from his in-laws' house in Hajin. On Monday too the terrorists had stormed into the house of Farooq Ahmad Parrey and started firing randomly. The outfit has not reacted to the charge, so far.

The beheaded body of one of the civilians was found in Kashmir. "They informed the police which relocated to the place and took up investigations".

According to the Police local militants Mohd Saleem Parrey is believed to have played a major role in the killing of the youth.

The police said a local LeT's cadre is behind the killing of Butt after his kidnapping.

"The brutal killing of young Manzoor Ahmad is highly condemnable but should also serve as a reminder of where society is headed".

Police said before abducting father-son duo, terrorists thrashed the family members black-and-blue without caring about the dignity of inmates. His bullet-riddled corpse was found on the outskirts of the township next day.
