Google To Launch Low Cost Pixel Phones In Select Markets

There are a lot of cellphone brands that did well in the emerging markets.

Another one of the senior industry executives said by August a new mid-range smartphone by Google should hit the market, while the new Pixel will be ready to go at the beginning of November when the smartphone series traditionally launches.

The Google Home and the Home Mini launch comes months after Amazon launched its Echo smart speakers in India past year.

The company will supposedly expand its presence when it comes to distribution channels, focusing on neighborhood mobile phone stores which accounted for 36% of Pixel sales in India. Some Indian retailers too took part in some of the meets. The recent advent of internet penetration due to cheaper data will help Google to realise the maximum potential of the products. The Home speaker is coming to India almost two years after its original launch. Which means your speaker needs to be on at all times to receive the music and it doesn't necessarily imbue the Bluetooth speaker with Google Assistant's intelligent voice recognition software, obviously. Due to the edge-to-edge format of the display, we may also see a transparent panel at the bottom of the phone that houses multiple pieces of technology - including a fingerprint scanner for TouchID and the front camera. The publication claims Google has solidified its strategy for India, which includes bringing its Nest brand to the country, along with Google Wi-Fi and the Pixelbook. Google plans to launch these products over the course of next two years.

Launching a cheaper Pixel phone in regions such as India could provide a big boost for Google's fledgling Android smartphones.

International Business Times India Edition contacted Google's media representative via email for a response on Home smart speaker and mid-range Pixel phones launch in India but she refused to divulge any details at the moment. However, what gives Google a bit of an edge here is that Alexa (Amazon's smart speaker) still can't understand or speak in Hindi while Google assistant already supports the language, although not flawlessly. The speakers are compatible with over 95 percent of Android phones worldwide.
