Missing Hollywood actress Adeaa Shabani's body found in shallow grave

After a search that went on for weeks, authorities have unearthed remains from a shallow grave. Here's what you need to know about the missing model.

Shabani, 25, was last seen on security camera around 1:15 p.m. on February 23 near her Hollywood home, police said.

Concerned friends reported her missing after she failed to show up for an important acting class and stopped responding to calls or text messages.

She came from Macedonia and had been in Los Angeles less than two years, according to her friends.

A shallow grave was discovered in Northern California during the search for a missing actress, authorities announced Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told reporters at a press conference on Tuesday, 'At this point in time, we believe that those remains are the body of Miss. "So it was in such a condition that identification couldn't be made".

Considered a person of interest in Shabani's disappearance, Spotz fatally shot himself after leading officers on a police chase in a stolen truck Thursday.

Spotz said he and Shabani had an argument in the Santa Clarita area just outside of Los Angeles and that he let her out on the side of a freeway and hadn't seen her again.

Human remains recovered by authorities in California this week were confirmed on Wednesday to be those of missing model-actress Adea Shabani. They now believe that Spotz had something to do with her death. The 25-year-old landed a small role in an independent film and was looking for her big break. After trying to stop him, he fled and a chase ensued.

Spotz was an aspiring actor too. On March 1, Spotz and his fiancee - not Shabani - headed for his parents' home in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Through an attorney, Spotz told detectives that he and Shabani left Los Angeles on February 23 on a road trip to Spotz's father's house in northern California.

Hayes said police began searching for Spotz in hopes of examining his Toyota Tacoma pickup for possible clues.

But the investigators rubbished every rumor and claimed that Shabani and Spotz were in a relationship.

Police are examining his pickup truck and a rental vehicle he used. "I can't be definitive as to the cause and manner of death".

"Christopher Spotz was somehow involved in her death and we believe this to be a homicide, however, until the conclusion of the autopsy and our ability to examine the evidence related to the recovery of that evidence we won't be able to determine that definitively", he added.
