Get Out Returning to AMC Theaters For Free Screenings

Peele and Universal Pictures announced today that free screenings of the Best Picture Oscar nominee will take place on Presidents' Day, February 19th, at 55 AMC locations nationwide. In a video posted to the official Twitter account for Get Out, Peele discussed his "small thank you" to those who supported the movie. And each showing will be free - for those who are lucky enough to get a seat.

Since then, Jordan Peele's directorial debut has been showered with acclaim from critics, and has been nominated for countless awards. That's a rare feat for a film that hit theaters so early in the qualifying year, especially a horror movie, and that calls for a celebration. Star Daniel Kaluuya is also nominated in the best actor category for his on-screen performance. Indeed, the film is the favorite to win Best Original Screenplay for Peele's script, but very much could go all the way to a Best Picture win.
