Two arrested for killing then gang-raping minor in Panipat

The teenager was gang-raped and her body was brutalised by her assailants, who inserted a foreign object into her private parts that caused massive internal injuries.

In a barbaric act, a class VI student was raped, strangled and raped again after she was dead, by two persons in village Urlana Kalan in Panipat.

The second horrific incident came into light after, a body of a minor girl was found on Sunday in which two people were arrested for killing and gang-raping the victim in Panipat. The head of forensic medicine at PGIMS, Dr SK Dhattarwal said that "It does not seem to be the case of rape by one person".

Her liver and lungs had been ruptured and an object had been jammed into her privates, doctors said.

The girl was kidnapped on Saturday when she left her house to dump garbage. Two SITs have been formed for investigation. "Signs of sexual assault are visible and looks like 3-4 people were responsible, a hard & blunt thing was inserted inside her, signs of drowning also found", ANI quoted him as saying.

The girl's father was heartbroken following the discovery of his daughter's body.

"These incidents of rapes have also dealt a big blow to Haryana government's much publicised "beti bachao, beti padao" (save daughters, educate them)" campaign, which has shown a vast improvement.

Haryana is no stranger to reports of ganrapes and torture meeted out to victims before or after the brutal crime, but don't let us fool you into believing this.

A 22-year-old woman was kidnapped and gang-raped for two hours in an SUV in Faridabad last evening. He said the police interrogated the two men as they suspected they were involved in the assault.

Both accused have been arrested. A total number of 9839 crime against women cases were officially registered in the state, with a 9 percent increase in crime rate in the category.

Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Tuesday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led state government in the wake of multiple rape cases being reported in the state. The medical examination of the girl revealed chilling details of the brutality she had faced, similar to those undergone by Delhi's "Nirbhaya" who succumbed to the injuries she suffered in a brutal gangrape in December 2012.
