Chelsea boss Conte 'disappointed' after Norwich stalemate

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte admits that Championship side Norwich City deserve their 0-0 draw in their FA Cup third round clash at Carrow Road. But that goes on the back burner for now as Antonio Conte's men begin their battle for the FA Cup.

Chelsea have progressed from 20 of their last 21 FA Cup ties against non-Premier League sides, with the exception their 4-2 defeat to Bradford in January 2015.

"It's a bit frustrating". We had difficulty offensively, we were poor.

Norwich responded with their own attack and nearly took the lead from a 70th minute free-kick which was punched away by Caballero with Murphy's followup volley hitting a Blues player. There is lots of Premier League experience in this group of players though, mixed with some youthful exuberance. Normally in 10 games Chelsea will win eight times and it's perhaps one time a draw - but that means there's one special day where you are able to create something special and we're looking forward to doing this.

Chelsea came out with more objective in the second half and had a chance on 50 minutes but Angus Gunn got down well to smother Michy Batshuayi's long-range shot.

Norwich City are 2-2-1 in their last five home games and 2-1-2 in their last five overall. Conte is still able to field a top class side despite making plenty of changes and I think they'll be too strong for Norwich.

"For us it is a small problem as we have to play another game when the schedule is very busy".

"When you play every three days especially after the Christmas period you have to make many rotations", Conte said. Maybe in the first half we could be better. They defended very well, showed they were well organised.
