The wind chill will range anywhere from -10 to -15 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will drop to between 0 and -10 degrees.

The wind speeds aren't expected to be very high, however, with temperatures being so low any wind would drop the wind chill to risky levels. With the extremely low temperatures, it will be possible to get frostbite in as little as 30 minutes in areas where skin is exposed, so anyone planning on attending outdoor festivities for New Year's Eve are advised to bundle up.

Lake effect snow also was forecast in a portion of northern in through Sunday evening.
