Mariah won't be missing sound check at NYE rehearsal this year

Just like in recent years, the 2018 celebration will be held live from New York City's Times Square, with Ryan Seacrest - who replaced Dick Clark since he retired as the event's host - hosting.

During last year's "Rockin Eve" show in, Carey struggled to sing her song "Emotions" while a set of prerecorded vocals played in the background.

Seacrest, who will share hosting duties again this year with Jenny McCarthy, said he is mostly anxious about the near-record low temperatures expected in New York City on Sunday night.
