Lady Gaga Just Announced Her Las Vegas Residency

In a statement, Gaga said that it's been "a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas" and that her show will be "unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before".

According to Variety, Gaga will perform 36 dates. She says she is humbled to be joining a historical line-up of performers that include Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

"It's been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I'm so overjoyed!" the singer wrote on Twitter following the announcement. "I'll leave my heart on the stage every single night", Gaga told E! Thank you to my fans for always believing in me.

Gaga was also forced to call off her six-week European leg of her "Joanne World Tour" in September, but has been in peak form since returning from her health struggles. Lady Gaga is also starring in the upcoming remake of "A Star is Born", alongside actor/director Bradley Cooper.

The star announced the news on Instagram through a series of pictures explaining that she'll begin a two-year residency at an MGM Resorts International venue, formerly known as the Monte Carlo, in December.
