Not as cold tonight; cloudy skies through the weekend — FIRST ALERT FORECAST

A cold front will swing through the area early this morning bringing breezy and cooler conditions for your Tuesday.

THURSDAY: Temperatures will take another 5°-10° dip across eastern NM, although, most of us will still be left with 50s and 60s. A cold front arrives overnight tonight but no rain and not much cloud cover with this front.

Temperatures reach into the low 30s today but it will feel colder with winds at 15-25 miles per hour, possibly gusting to 35 miles per hour.

After a chilly start we're warming to near normal with highs in the low 50s. Highs will be in the low to mid-60s.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 57.

The high temperature is expected to reach only 52 degrees today in Sterling, according to the National Weather Service. Rain returns Sunday. For now, it looks like mainly rain showers, but a few elevated thunderstorms could develop as well. Lows in the mid to upper 30s.

Sunday's rain chances remain at 40%.

Monday, skies begin to clear and north winds stick around a little longer. Another cold front will begin to move in over northeast NM... but the drop in temperatures will be felt Thursday. We stay seasonable with morning lows in the upper 30s and afternoons in the lower 60s through the beginning of the weekend.

It will cool us down, though.
