Trump Criticized CNN International & The Internet Quickly Came To The Network's Defense

While Trump didn't tag CNN in the post, though he did tag Fox News (saying they were "MUCH more important"), CNN nevertheless saw the post and drafted a quick response snarkily reminding the President that what he described isn't their job, it's his.

Earlier in the day, Trump blasted CNN and its global arm in a tweet, accusing the network of spreading "fake" news and representing the U.S.

"CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly". "Trump drew criticism when he tweeted out a fake video of himself taking down CNN back in July with the hashtag "#FraudNewsCNN".

"'Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that can not be limited without being lost.' - Thomas Jefferson, Jan. 28, 1786", he tweeted. As reported by RawStory, some critics believe that Trump is trying to derail the deal because of his personal animosity towards CNN.

This week, the Department of Justice challenged a merger between AT&T and Time Warner, which owns CNN.

Comey, who began tweeting under a pseudonym, has been somewhat active on the social media platform within the past month.

CNN more adheres to the policy of the democratic party and often criticized trump during the race.

The president's tweet Saturday is not the first time he's spoken about CNN in terms of the worldwide community.
