Kevin Spacey accused in incident involving former Boston TV anchor relative

85-year-old author and New York Times journalist Gay Talese, credited for launching literary journalism through inventive pieces like his groundbreaking Esquire article "Frank Sinatra Has a Cold", told Vanity Fair in an interview that he feels sorry for the former "House of Cards" star, and more shockingly, told the men accusing Spacey of sexual harassment or assault to "suck it up". She said a concerned woman noticed that her son was emotionally disturbed and urged him to "run".

Unruh said her son told Spacey that he was of the legal drinking age.

Longtime Boston television journalist Heather Unruh has accused Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting her son at a MA bar last summer.

A lawyer for Spacey didn't immediately return an email Wednesday.

"Nothing could have prepared my son for the way that would make him feel as a man", Unruh told reporters.

Unruh said that last week, her son filed a police report and handed over evidence to the Nantucket police. Sarah Kate Ellis, president of the LGBTQ group GLAAD said he only revealed he is gay 'to deflect from allegations of sexual assault'. She said that her "star-struck, straight" son, "who had no idea that the famous actor was an alleged sexual predator or that he was about to become his next victim", had met Spacey at the Club Car restaurant. "But he's also confident that the time to act is now", she said.

Seated to her right at the press briefing was attorney Mitchell Garabedian, who has years of experience having represented victims of sexual abuse by the Catholic Church.

"She saw that my son was shaken", Unruh said of the woman.

Unruh said she "wants to see" Spacey go to jail and have the "hand of justice come down on him".

It's true that there's great value in profiling complex and unethical people and-at their best-these profiles can encourage empathy (not always sympathy, mind you) and a better understanding of the capabilities and failings of the human character. She said her son was unaware that the Hollywood star was a "sexual predator". A publicist said last week that Spacey is "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment".

In light of the allegations against him, several members of the "House of Cards" production team have come forward with their own harrowing experience with the show's lead actor.

Spacey has said he was "beyond horrified" by Rapp's previous claim of assault.
