Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's Wages At Liverpool Have Been Revealed

Oxlade-Chamberlain's decision to turn down a massive offer from Arsenal and leave the club he joined as a teenager shows that he clearly thinks he's better off playing for a different manager.

Speaking on BBC Five Live, via the Express, Wilson said: "I'm particularly upset about Alex". Ramsey was quick to delete the post and try to explain that "Shambles" is a nickname given to Oxlade Chamberlain by Per Mertersaker. "This is a terrific blow to Arsenal, but I'm not sure it's good for Alex himself".

According to BBC Sport, the Reds had to pay the Gunners a transfer fee of £35 million in order to secure the services of the 24-year-old.

However, Liverpool boss Klopp was quick to highlight Oxlade-Chamberlain's versatility but refused to assign the new signing to one position.

And Arsenal fans have been quick to remind Liverpool of the midfielder's inconsistency and poor Premier League goal tally - which now stands at nine goals in seven seasons. It later turned out that this was not the Welsh international's opinion on Arsenal's transfer window but Oxlade-Chamberlain's nickname born from his shambolic timekeeping.

In a world where footballers' wages are obscene it's nice to see a player take less in order to play where he wants to!

Klopp told Oxlade-Chamberlain that he wanted to utilise him in central midfield but Antonio Conte was hoping to use the versatile star as a wing-back.

"After six years, three FA Cup wins and countless incredible memories, the time has come for me to move on from Arsenal", the midfielder wrote on Twitter.

The Gunners have already lost England left-back Kieran Gibbs, who joined West Bromwich Albion.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's exit looks inevitable; it is now just a matter of where he goes.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes for much of the summer.
