3 more charged in Charlottesville protest

Harris told WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina that the beating resulted in a broken wrist, chipped tooth, busted lip and eight staples to close the wound in his head.

Video captured a group of white men - including 18-year-old Daniel Borden - savagely pounding on Harris with metal flag poles, umbrellas and plastic shields, reports the NY Daily News.

The Charlottesville Police Department needs the public's help searching for a man wanted for an assault that happened on August 12.

A woman who had joined the counterprotesters, Heather Heyer, 32, was killed when a auto slammed into a crowd of people.

Another suspect, Richard W. Preston, 52, is allegedly the man seen on video shot by the American Civil Liberties Union taking out a pistol and firing a round toward a counterprotester who was wielding a flaming can of aerosol. James Alex Fields Jr., 20, of OH, has been charged with second-degree murder in that case.

The arrests came amid heightened scrutiny of the police over its response to the violence in Charlottesville.

Police say these incidents are ongoing criminal investigations.

James Alex Fields has been charged with second-degree murder, five counts of malicious wounding, three counts of aggravated malicious wounding and one count of felony hit and run in relation to the vehicular death of Heather Heyer, who was protesting against those at the rally in Charlottesville.

According to the city police news release, authorities are continuing to investigate the vehicle attack. The lawyer, S. Lee Merritt, said Ramos was identified after he wrote about the attack on Facebook.

If you have any information about Ramos' whereabouts, call the Charlottesville Police Department at 434-970-3280.
