Tom Cruise appears injured after Mission: Impossible 6 stunt

The extent of his injuries or the seriousness of the mishap was not immediately clear.

Syracuse native Tom Cruise appears to have injured himself while filming a stunt for his next "Mission: Impossible" sequel. The video was obtained by the entertainment news website TMZ, which said the video was made on Sunday.

And while the last thing he probably wants to do is glide through the air between two buildings again, his only way to treatment is to be pulled on his harness back to the scaffolding, where other members of the team help him as he limps away. Reps for Cruise and Paramount did not quickly react to a demand for input.

The risky stunt was performed today, and soon after, the star began limping, worrying his staff and crew.

There is no surprise Cruise was in such a unsafe situation, and it's also not the first time something like this has happened considering numerous man's films feature risky action scenes.

M:I 6 is being directed by script writer Christopher McQuarrie, who has previously worked with Tom on movies Jack Reacher, Edge Of Tomorrow and Valkyrie, and Alec Baldwin and Rebecca Ferguson will both reprise their roles from Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation as Alan Hunley and Ilsa Faust respectively.

"What Tom is doing in this movie I believe will top anything that's come before", said Ellison.

Tom plays Ethan Hunt in the smash hit series, which also stars Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner and Vanessa Kirby, with details of the plot being kept under wraps. But the 55-year-old refused any help.
