Spurs about to hijack Iheanacho Leicester move

Tottenham Hotspur want to take Kelechi Iheanacho to North London as part of their deal to sell Kyle Walker to Premier League rivals Manchester City, according to The Sun.

The 20-year-old is attracting plenty of interest this summer after being allowed to leave City, with European giants Monaco and Borussia Dortmund also said to be tracking him.

Tottenham could yet make things hard for the Foxes, however, as they feel they may have a chance of hijacking the deal due to City's interest in right-back Kyle Walker.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino could now be interested in signing Iheanacho in a player-plus-cash deal to help push Walker's move through.

With this in mind, several Premier League clubs have been in contact with the Citizens regarding Iheanacho, with West Ham United and Leicester City having been battling it out as the main contenders for the striker's signature.

But after a disappointing season in which the former CR Belouizdad striker scored just eight goals, Leicester are reportedly looking to cut their loses and move for the precocious Man City forward.

Iheanacho has fallen behind Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus and needs to move on this summer for the sake of his career.

City have so far fought off competition for Iheanacho from other clubs, including West Ham, and it looks like Leicester are the favourites to sign the 20-year-old worldwide.
