Republicans and Democrats are fighting for bragging rights in their annual Congressional Baseball game, and doing so as one unit - Team Scalise. Scalise was reported to have been tended to by Rep. The shooter was identified as James T. Hodgkinson, a 66-year-old home inspector from IL who had several minor run-ins with the law in recent years and belonged to a Facebook group called "Terminate the Republican Party". Investigators are still studying James T. Hodgkinson's social media profile and activities leading up to the attack. While the game is known for its fierce competition, lawmakers say this year they are all on Team Scalise.
"I think it also talks to how close we get with people here in Washington, on both sides of the aisle". The doctor described how a bullet from an assault rifle entered Scalise's hip and traversed his pelvis, shattering blood vessels, bones and internal organs along the way.
