Sony's PlayLink is a more social way to interact with games

Gruesome stuff. Players will be given the "hidden agendas" of the game's title, though, and they'll need to find ways to manipulate the other players into reaching that outcome.

One of the first PlayLink titles is called That's You.

Sony says your mobile device's touch-ready display, cameras, and sensors will be leveraged for "an exciting new way to play games with family and friends" on multiple screens.

With PlayLink, you can connect Android tablets and phones by using the companion PlayLink app, and playing PlayLink specific games downloaded onto your PS4 console. Also, there are scant details on how Sony plans to expand the collection. PlayLink titles are created to be played in a group setting, allowing for a truly fun and dynamic experience.

They didn't show any of it at their E3 conference, but Sony's stealthily announced a new set of casual, social games that will have your PlayStation 4 interfacing with your cell phone in a party environment.

Supermassive said that the PlayLink technology allows the team to make the experience more accessible that using a traditional controller, which may not be as comfortable for less experienced games.

Other titles revealed to be coming include Frantics, Knowledge is Power and SingStar Celebration.

That's You! will be released on July 4 at no cost for PlayStation Plus members, and the other titles should arrive later this year.

Hidden Agenda centers on a group of people trying to stop a serial killer, so you can expect to see plenty of grizzly death sequences like in Until Dawn. The collection of PlayLink games vary from gritty crime thrillers to quick-fire quizzes. That works perfectly with a murder mystery like Hidden Agenda.
