AMBER Alert issued for missing Hampton infant and her mom

Hampton police say 34-year-old Keir Johnson and her daughter Chloe Johnson were last seen on April 30 in the 1900 block of Hastings Drive in Hampton. Police said the mom may also have been abducted.

Virginia State Police have issued an Amber Alert for Chloe Johnson, an 8-month-old girl who's missing out of Hampton.

Hampton police has also partnered with Adams Outdoor Advertising to raise awareness via electronic billboards throughout the Hampton Roads / Tidewater area.

"Anything you can do to help me in any way, please do", Crews said through tears Friday afternoon.

Initially there was no evidence that the Johnsons had been abducted, Sult said. "Kier is a very responsible young lady who works and has very close family ties".

Sult declined to release any information about possible suspects or persons of interest in the case, citing the need to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation, but noted that police were treating it very seriously.

Keir's mother and grandmother both appeared at the Friday conference, begging the public to come forward with any information that could aide in the search. "Keir is a mother herself, it would be wonderful for us to be able to reunite them so that they could all celebrate Mothers Day together". She is believed to be in extreme danger.

Police believe they may be traveling in a 2013 black Kia Optima with Virginia license plate number VAW2197 heading towards Buckroe Beach.
