North Korea Accuses US, South Korea Of Assassination Attempt

Supporters said the legislation was meant to send a strong message to North Korea, amid worldwide concern over the escalation of its nuclear program.

"The revolutionary forces of the DPRK with its nuclear force for as its pivot will fulfill its sacred mission of devotedly defending its supreme leadership representing the destiny and life of its people by dealing a merciless sledge-hammer blow at those daring [to] hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership", the North said in response.

"China had better ponder over the grave consequences to be entailed by its reckless act of chopping down the pillar of the DPRK-China relations".

On Thursday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to tighten sanctions on North Korea by targeting its shipping industry and companies that do business with the reclusive state.

North Korea warned that Friday the "lunatics cannot avoid the punishment of our troops and the people wherever they are on the earth".

The state media called the Trump's administration a "mere novice insofar as its ignorance of its rival was concerned".

North Korea warned this week that United States hostility had brought the region to the brink of nuclear war. Chinese state media have also unleashed regular and harsh criticisms on North Korea.

The ministry's statement was carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.

The idea was to launch a bombing attack at a military parade attended by Kim, the North Korean statement said. China can not be happy to see reinforcement of the United States military presence in Western Pacific and increasing military cooperation between the USA and Japan (a Japanese helicopter carrier took part in an exercise for the first time) that North Korean missile tests have brought about.

It did not mention Kim Jong-un by name, but he is widely referred to as the supreme leader. Such moves would be a step toward the country's goal of developing nuclear-armed missiles capable of reaching the USA mainland.

In a statement, North Korea said "the last-ditch effort" of US. "We will ferret out and mercilessly destroy to the last one the terrorists of the U.S. CIA", the article warned.

Central Intelligence Agency director Mike Pompeo visited Seoul this week and met with his South Korean counterpart.

Mr. Moon has argued that conservative incompetence is to blame for North Korea's actions. But even now, as the North's nuclear threat ratchets up, South Korea is mulling the prospect of reopening Kaesong.

North Korean "Combined Fire Demonstration" held to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the North Korean army. "This has created a unsafe situation in which thermos-nuclear war may break out at any moment". Further communications take place in April.

The drill was particularly disturbing for South Koreans who remember a failed attempt by North Korean commandos in 1968 to assassinate then dictator Park Chung-hee, the father of Park Geun-hye.
