New Motorola Tablet With 'Productivity Mode' In The Pipeline

Android Police's report also indicated that the upcoming Motorola Android tablet might measure 9 to 10 inches diagonally. However, knowing the quality of Motorola moto products, it's safe to assume that it won't be a good device for its price range.

While the current market for tablets is growing smaller, a recent report from Android Police suggest that Motorola is working on a tablet featuring "Productivity Mode". With this mode enabled, you'll be able to pin applications to the navigation bar so that you can switch between them easily.

Motorola hasn't said anything about a new tablet at this point in time so it's unclear when this tablet is going to be announced, where it's going to be sold, and how much it's going to cost.

Just as it was with Android smartphones and Android Wear, Motorola was quick to embrace Google's operating system on tablets. The biggest problem with tablets is that they are mostly just larger version of our phones, and an experience tailored for the big screen could propel interest again. The source provided the site with a screenshot of the alleged device showing that it will have a new feature dedicated to productivity. Also, you can close the app by simply long pressing it and swiping it up of the navigation bar.

Based on the speculation, this new model could be a productivity-geared device more comparable to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

Though Productivity Mode isn't something you'll find on an ordinary Android tablet, this isn't the first time we've seen it - Lenovo included it with the Yoga Book, an Android laptop.

Also, there hasn't been any major Android tablet update in a long while, so this Lenovo-Moto tablet would be especially welcomed by Android lovers.

The last tablet we remember from Motorola was the XOOM a few years back.
