Caitlyn Jenner sat down with The View co-hosts Wednesday April 26, 2017 to talk about her stunningly candid memoir, "The Secrets of My Life".
In her forthcoming memoir, Caitlyn Jenner, who came on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a few months after revealing her identity as a transwoman in 2015, claims DeGeneres "took what I said out of context" to make the interview "go viral". "If that is the case, I would seriously look at a run".
Trans woman and celebrity Caitlyn Jenner, a Republican who voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, says she's open to running for office in the next few years.
'My loyalties are not with the Republican Party, ' Jenner said. The Democrats are better there. "But I've tried to learn from those mistakes, I try to a better job next time". I'm probably a little bit more conservative.
Well between her and Trump, at least one of them believes in those things, anyway. "I believe in our Constitution". "No, I got no more secrets".
She made it clear that she doesn't completely support Trump on everything he does--she released a video criticizing the Trump administration for rolling back protections for transgender students weeks ago--but Jenner still firmly believes that the US needed to "shake the system up". Jenner was not happy. 'My loyalties are not with Donald Trump. My loyalty is not with the Republican party.
As for the golf, she did get in a jab about Trump's athletic ability. Unfortunately, what she says from now on won't be scandal-proof. There was no one to confide in or seek guidance from. She declared that she wanted to be the party's "trans ambassador". We have so many issue that are out there right now. "I believe in minimal government, and so Republicans have done a better job in that direction".
She's not going to be meeting with Trump anytime soon, though.
Meanwhile, Caitlyn said that she did not even talked about her ex-wife in the book and told the press she can not blame her for saying that as some of Caitlyn's friends also have their own version of their stories.
Jenner was also asked whether she'd vote for him again. I gave it to her after Kris was done with it, but I never really had a chance to really discuss it with her after the fact.
