Showers are expected to diminish this afternoon as the soggy weather front moves southward. However, meteorologists say that just as quickly as tonight's system departs, another will be right behind it to bring us more rain on Thursday.

One more day of showers is forecast for Sacramento before almost a week of sunshine, according to the National Weather Service.
