Hell No! West Virginia Gov. Covers State's New Budget in Bull Poop

Jim Justice (yes, that's his real name) thinks his state's budget bill is a bunch of BS.

At the end of the press conference, Justice provided some theatrics in describing the politics going on in the state Capitol.

"We don't have a nothing burger before us today", he said as he lifted the lid on the first platter showing a burger. We have a bunch of bull you know what.

The $4.1 billion budget cuts $110 million in spending, most of which is from higher education and the state Division of Health and Human Resources.

Justice said Thursday that Republican lawmakers have been asking about his expected veto, which would let them avoid blame for any tax increases.

In a letter, Justice said while he appreciated the importance of enabling physician assistants to fully practice their training, patients must be treated by individuals with the most current knowledge and training. "If we're this way, you know what we'll get done?" It uses $90 million from the Rainy Day Fund.

Justice attempted an eleventh-hour deal with the Republican-controlled Senate to pass a different version of the budget, but it didn't get through the House.

In statements Thursday afternoon, House Speaker Tim Armstead said Justice has "thrown our state into uncertainty" and Senate President Mitch Carmichael said the Legislature presented a state budget "that lives within its means". "It's insulting to the people of West Virginia".

"This Legislature met for 60 days this year and considered proposal after proposal to raise revenue or reform our tax code, but ultimately did not reach any consensus or build enough support around any of these proposals", Armstead said.

Only this time the poop-fueled argument was for more government ... "We lived up to this promise", Carmichael said.

"I hope and pray that the silliness will stop", he remarked.
