Arsenal will miss Wenger when he's gone -Bernstein

The time I spent here doesn't influence at all my attitude.

But, despite a reported two-year deal being on offer, Wenger said on Thursday that not everything is in place to extend his two-decade spell at the helm.

Earlier this month, the Gunners were knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage for the seventh consecutive season.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says it is not too late for Arsene Wenger to save his relationship with Arsenal's fans and remain in charge at the Emirates Stadium. But Wenger dismissed the suggestion that the uncertainty about his future was having a negative impact on his players.

"We have to look at ourselves and believe in our qualities because if you look at our offensive numbers they are very positive in the league".

"Of course we want all the players to go there".

With Arsene Wenger's insistence to dominate possession, keeping the ball on the carpet and undertaking relentless waves of attacks to break down what can be stubborn and well-organised opposing defences.

That remark came before back-to-back Premier League defeats to Everton and Manchester City that plunged Arsenal into a mid-season crisis that has prompted outright revolt from the majority of the club's fans against their long-serving manager.

"There's only one team in London, so he's happy", joked the Frenchman.

"He has one and a half years contract, so I don't think that it is an immediate concern for Arsenal football club". So, if you could tell us, we'll put out a statement, asking the fans to get behind the club. It wasn't my club, I didn't own it, but I had that authority. I hope that he will stay at the club but overall I think you have as well to be very cautious when people give interviews in their home countries. "I'm really sad to see this sort of decline". "I would prefer to take Arsenal after a lot of wins", he said. "I have always done in my life what I think in football is right and when I am wrong I stand up and I say sorry because I'm not flawless".

The Arsenal Supporters Trust surveyed its members on the current situation regarding Wenger and whether his contract to manage Arsenal should be extended beyond the end of this season.

Wenger is said to have decided on his future but has not yet made it public and Guardiola added: "When the bosses decide, or Arsene decides, to stay and keep going he believes it is the best solution and the best for Arsenal".

Wenger said Ozil was in line to make his first league appearance since February 11 against City following illness and a hamstring injury.
